ジャムズネットカナダはカナダ連邦政府のDementia Strategic Fund助成による認知症サポーター（ボランティア）養成の一環として、９月からカナダ各地で「認知症サポーターワークショップ」（無料）を開催いたしますので、ご案内させていただきます。参加には事前登録が必要です。初めての方も安心してご参加ください。

「認知症啓発プログラム「チームオレンジ」のお知らせ
厚生労働省の認知症啓発プログラム「チームオレンジ」（カナダ公衆衛生庁 (Public Health Agency of Canada) の承認・支援あり） の参加者を募集しています。 チームオレンジの目標は一般市民に認知症の理解を深め、地域全体で認知症の人を支えてもらう「認知症サポーター（対訳：Advocates）」を養成することです。 支えるといっても、介護などの専門性を要することではなく、近所に住む認知症の方などにちょっとした手助けができるように認知症の症状について学んでもらったり、認知症の危険因子・予防法を紹介して、症状が出始めた方でもできるだけ長く地域で暮らし続けられるような、「Ｗｉｔｈ認知症」の共生社会づくりを目指します。
With support from the Dementia Strategic Fund granted by the Canadian federal government, JAMSNET-Canada will be hosting “Dementia Advocate Workshops” (free of charge) at multiple locations across Canada starting from September. These workshops aim to train volunteers to support individuals with dementia. Pre-registration is required for participation.

About “Team Orange”
We are recruiting participants for the dementia awareness program “Team Orange” by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (endorsed and supported by the Public Health Agency of Canada). The goal of Team Orange is to enhance public understanding of dementia and to train “Dementia Advocates” who can support individuals with dementia within the community. This support does not require specialized skills like caregiving; it involves learning about dementia symptoms to provide simple assistance to people living with dementia in the neighborhood. By introducing risk factors and preventive measures for dementia, the program aims to create an inclusive society of “Living with Dementia,” where individuals can continue living in their community for as long as possible, even after the onset of symptoms.
